Program allocation
The Australian Government’s Department of Home Affairs has provided Victoria with a small interim allocation for the 2025–26 program year:
200 places for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)
180 places for the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)
The full allocation for the 2025–26 program is expected to be confirmed by the Department of Home Affairs in the coming weeks. Updates will be shared on the Skilled Migration Program page and through the Live in Melbourne website.
Existing ROIs
If you have an active Registration of Interest (ROI), it will remain valid for consideration in the 2025-2026 program. You only need to submit a new ROI if your information has changed.
New applicants can apply under two visa pathways:
Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)
Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)
To be considered, you must submit a SkillSelect Expression of Interest and a Registration of Interest.
