1 min read

The Department of Home Affairs announced they intend to run an invitation round on 15 October 2026.

What you should do before 15 October

  • Check your EOI: Ensure your Expression of Interest in SkillSelect is submitted and up to date.

  • Verify your points: Confirm your claimed points are accurate and supported by your skills assessment, qualifications, English language results, marital status and skilled employment history.

  • Monitor your email and SkillSelect account: Check for an invitation after the round.

  • Prepare your documents: If invited, you have a statutory limit to submit your visa application within 60 days of the invitation being issued or you miss out.

  • No changes to EOI  can be made once you receive an invitation and only claims that can be substantiated with verifiable evidence will lead to a permanent residency visa approval.

Good luck to everyone waiting for an invitation!
