Dessie Hristova
Principal Solicitor
Dessie has exclusively worked in the area of visa and immigration law, and the global free movement of people, a career in visa and immigration law that spans the continents of Europe and Australia over the past two decades. She was admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2007. Assent Migration Lawyers was founded by Dessie as principal to provide a highly personalised expert visa and immigration service.
Dessie is a member of Law Institute of Victoria, Law Council of Austalia and Migration Institute of Australia and has presented to migration agents and lawyers in CPD seminars and in their Practice Ready Program. Dessie is also an active member of the Migration and Refugee Law Reform Committees.
Dessie was a co-founder and partner of a boutique law firm that won a number of awards, including a finalist in the Law Institute of Victoria Best Boutique Law Firm. She has been a leader in the visa and immigration field working in top tier law firms, global relocation companies and migration consultancies. Last but not least she worked with asylum seekers through the UNHCR in a war-torn zone during.

Kathryn is an experienced and qualified visa and immigration professional, holding 14 years of experience within the legal industry with key experience in areas of corporate, individual and refugee and humanitarian migration through employment with reputable boutique and global relocation companies and law firms in Australia.

Ivan Litvinov

Ivan has graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Commerce (Corporate Finance) and LLB (Hons). Ivan holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law (Victoria) and is admitted to practice as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland. In his legal work Ivan is dedicated to assisting Australian organisations with staffing needs through employer sponsored migration and global mobility. Prior to turning to the legal profession in 2021 for over a decade Ivan has excelled in a wide variety of roles in the energy sector.
Grace Zheng

Grace commenced her legal career in Australian in 2004 when she was admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. She was registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority from 2009 to 2021. Grace is practising as a solicitor based in Sydney.
