It has been a remarkable year for Assent Migration Lawyers and our small team. We continued to deliver on our reputation of a leading Australian migration law practice, earning recognition as Best Boutique Immigration Law Firm by APAC Insider and maintaining our track record of excellence.

Expertise and Industry Engagement

The director of the practice, Dessie Hristova was recognised as one of Australia’s leading immigration lawyers in Best Lawyers, reflecting her expertise and standing in the migration law community. Throughout the year, Dessie contributed regularly to law reform submissions, through the Law Institute of Victoria committees, on matters related to skilled migration, migrant work force, refugees and vulnerable citizens.

Dessie also shared her insights at major industry events, including the National Migration Conference 2025, of Migration Institute of Australia where she spoke on topics related to partner, refugee, and family violence. Through the firm’s blog Dessie has been offering analysis and updates on evolving migration policies.
