ASSENT MIGRATION LAWYERS EXPERTS

Dessie Hristova has 25 years of exclusively working in the area of visa and immigration law, and global free movement of people. She has admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Supreme Court of Victoria since 2007. She has been a Registered Migration Agent with MARA since 2004 (MARN 0401223).

Dessie is a member of the Migration Institute of Australia and has presented to migration agents and lawyers for the Migration Institute of Australia in CPD seminars and in their Practice Ready Program. Dessie is also an active member of the Refugee Law Reform Committee at the Law Institute of Victoria.

With career in visa and immigration law that spans the continents of Europe and Australia, Dessie was a co-founder and partner of a boutique  law firm that won a number of awards, including a finalist in the Law Institute of Victoria Best Boutique Law Firm. Assent Migration Lawyers was founded by Dessie as principal to provide a highly personalised expert visa and immigration service. In the past Dessie has been a leader in the visa and immigration field working in top tier law firms, global relocation companies and migration consultancies. Last but not least she worked with asylum seekers through the UNHCR in the mid-1990s in a war-torn zone.
